When I first arrived in Vietnam, I found myself in the charming town of Hoi An. It was a lovely place, but being a city adventurer at heart, I yearned for something a bit livelier. However, during my six months there, I made some incredible friends, one of whom became my brother from another mother, Dom.

Dom and I embarked on an exciting journey together, opening his beachside bar called “Dom House.” This place was no ordinary bar; it was a magical escape that Dom had created in front of his family home. Needless to say, it was an instant success, and over the next few years, Dom’s bar flourished.

About four months ago, Dom decided to take his hospitality skills to the next level and opened a hostel in downtown Hoi An. And let me tell you, my visit to “Dom Hostel” yesterday left me in awe.

Situated close to Old Town, this three-story gem boasts both dorm rooms and private accommodation options, ensuring there’s a perfect fit for every traveler. I couldn’t help but appreciate the chilly air conditioning, which was a lifesaver after a long day exploring the beautiful streets of Hoi An.

Cleanliness is at the forefront of Dom’s hostel, with everything from the common areas to the dorms maintained to perfection. But what truly stole my heart was the view from the hostel’s rooftop.

But that’s not all, my friends! You’re in for a treat because Dom Hostel also has a fully equipped and clean kitchen that serves mouthwatering traditional Vietnamese dishes. Oh, my taste buds still tingle at the memory of the flavors! The best part? You can simply head to the front counter, place your order, and let the incredible chefs work their magic.

Dom and his team are also in the process of opening a bar right at the front of the hostel. Soon, guests will be able to unwind with a refreshing drink and mingle with fellow adventurers, creating memories and forging new friendships. Exciting, isn’t it?
