Hello Friends, If you are coming to Siem Reap, chances are you are here for Angkor Wat — the temples, the sunrise photos, the bucket-list morning that put this town on the map. During the day there is plenty to do. But when the sun goes down and you have had your fill of ancient history, the question becomes: then what? For most visitors, the answer is Pub Street. I have walked my share of drinking strips across Southeast Asia — Bui Vien in Saigon, Riverside in Phnom Penh, the infamous strips in Pattaya — and I will say it plainly: Pub Street Siem Reap hits different, and mostly in good ways. Wait — Is This Street Actually Clean? The first thing that hit me walking down Pub Street was not the neon or the music or the crowds. It was the cleanliness. Seriously. The street itself felt genuinely clean. I do not know how often they wash it, but next to the other drinking streets I have spent time on in this region, it stood out immediately — no sticky residue underfoot, no mystery puddles to sidestep, no smell of last night's party still hanging in the air.
