After taking a short break, I’m back with another exciting article to share with you. Today, I want to take you on a journey to the magnificent Bạch Mã Mountains in Vietnam, nestled between Danang and Hue.

As dusk settled, we arrived at our destination and hopped into a private car that took us up the majestic mountain. The drive itself was an adventure, with the temperature gradually dropping as we ascended and the car expertly navigating the narrow roads, some of which were worn out due to nature’s whims.
Our camping site awaited us, tucked away in a charming pine grove. As the clock struck 6 pm, a temple bell began to chime, signaling the end of the day. It created an enchanting atmosphere, a gentle reminder to pause and soak in the tranquil surroundings. And just as the sun graced the horizon at 4 am, the bell rang again, signaling the start of a new day.
Though we couldn’t resist a little nighttime exploration, we retired early, eagerly anticipating the magical hour of 4 am. And when it finally arrived, we embarked on an unforgettable ascent to the summit of Bạch Mã Mountain, eagerly anticipating the breathtaking sunrise that awaited us. And let me tell you, it was nothing short of AMAZING! As an added bonus, we even discovered a gigantic bell perched at the top, just waiting to be rung. (We may have had a little too much fun with that, haha.)
Bạch Mã Mountains hold a significant historical narrative, once serving as a French colony and later becoming a strategic location for helicopters during the Vietnam War. Today, it stands as a peaceful retreat, offering an escape from the bustling city life.
Our day was dedicated to exploring the lush forests and following meandering rivers, serenaded by the harmonious chorus of thousands of cicadas. It truly felt like nature had orchestrated a symphony just for us, a symphony of buzzing and humming that filled the air with life.
As the sun began its descent, we realized just how much ground we had covered, taking close to 30,000 steps in our exhilarating adventure. By this point, exhaustion had taken hold, but every tired muscle and blistered foot was worth it. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend visiting Bạch Mã Mountains. Trust me, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
